Any system of communication consists of publicly accepted symbols by which individuals try to share private experiences.
In each language, there are symbols that people recognize and are universal that gives each person a way to communicate by. Without sets of symbols, it would be hard for people to communicate and tell a story. Symbols allow individuals to develop relationships with each other.
