Greetings!
Convert both terms into improper fractions:
[tex]=9/1-59/8[/tex]
Find the LCM.
[tex]=72/8-59/8[/tex]
Simplify.
[tex]=13/8[/tex]
Convert to Mixed Number.
[tex]=1 \frac{5}{8}[/tex]
The second answer would be correct.
