LinkedIn has more than 500 million registered members and because of that popularity, it has postings for more than 10 million jobs and data on more than 9 million companies.
LinkedIn, now owned by Microsoft, claims the business-focused social network has 500 million users. This surpasses his 467 million reported last October. Unlike some web properties, LinkedIn does not list monthly or daily "active" users, only general users.
This is probably because many of these members visit the site sporadically, perhaps to update their resumes or check out new job postings. The company also offers a full-service subset of the site for free. They do not disclose how many of their users are paying customers, as opposed to using them. 500 million users come from over 200 countries.
According to a blog post by Aatif Awan, vice president of growth and international products at the Mountain View, Calif.-based company, LinkedIn has more than 10 million active job listings and his 9 million companies. It contains data on more than 100 companies.
