The quote makes me feel like my initial opinion is correct; Earth is the only planet suitable enough for life and colonization. When I read this quote, I instantly think about astronomy and how us humans are affected by water. Because water is abundant only on Earth, it makes no sense to send humans to try and find traces of suitable life on foreign planets.
