Emily Dickinson's poem "Snake" is a prime example of her very personal use of punctuation, ending verses with lines and omitting all punctuation marks but commas, as well as of her particular syntax, as in the following stanza: "A narrow fellow in the grass / Occasionally rides — / You may have met Him — did you not / His notice sudden is —"
