How do u simplify 1.7+(-5)+(-3.27)

The answer is -6.57

In order to get this, we just treat it as a subtraction problem. Adding a negative number is the same thing as subtraction.

1.7 - 5 = -3.3

Now do the second part

-3.3 - 3.27 = -6.57
